Nebraska autograph

checklist released

A triple Heisman Heroes signature card – featuring Johnny Rodgers (1972), Mike Rozier (1983) and Eric Crouch (2001) -- highlights the autograph checklist announced this week for the soon-to-be released TK Legacy Nebraska trading card series.

This inaugural release contains several limited edition signature cards of Cornhusker greats as well as hand-drawn sketches. As the hallmark of every TK Legacy product, an autograph card is included in every pack.

“This set really offers Nebraska fans and collectors alike a variety of cards while honoring the great Nebraska football tradition,” says Larry O'Connor, TK Legacy vice-president of marketing.

Some 22 players, including eight All-Americans, are featured. Those greats spanning five decades of Nebraska football are depicted on Signature Series cards as well as numerous limited edition autograph releases. Nine quarterbacks, including Harry Tolly who engineered the Cornhuskers' great upset over Oklahoma in 1959, are honored on special Quarterback Club (1/100) cards.

The plum is expected to be the (1/100) triple Heisman Heroes card signed by Rodgers, Rozier and Crouch. Other limited edition cards include Game Breaker silver signatures (1/25) of Rodgers, Rozier, Crouch, I.M. Hipp and Turner Gill. Eight All-Americans (1/100) cards, which include Freeman White Jr., Tony Jeter, Jerry Tagge, Jerry Murtaugh, Steve Taylor, Rodgers, Rozier and Crouch.

Those on the defensive side are also honored on special Blackshirt edition cards (1/100) , which feature Clete Pillen, Steve Damkroger, Kerry Weinmaster and Murtaugh.

The Nebraska cards will be available in 10-pack boxes and 8-box cases. Wholesale inquiries are welcomed.
